Well Sylvan Falls Mill now offers a free charge with your lodging or touring. Yes, we have installed a Level 2 Commercial EV Charging Station. Get a full re-charge in about 3 hours.
Sylvan Falls Mill obtained a U.S. Department of Energy grant to help defray the unit's cost.
Oh, Chef Jenny Wilson of Fromage also installed a charging station and the City of Clayton is now installing 2 DC fast chargers.

Well it is hot this year... except at the mill. Thenights are in the low sixties, the days in the mid eighties, afternoon showers, lightning and thunder in the distance.
The plentiful rain means our waterfalls are flowing and the forests are lush. Come up and take a break from all that is weighing you down, enjoy the fresh produce and clean air. The local farmers have an abundance of amazing veggies and berries this time not to mention the succulent peaches. Our vineyards are featuring great wines and entertainment. Come up for the third annual Clayton Crawl later this minth and taste the best We have to offer. The first weekend of August brings the annual Bluegrass - Bar b que festival to Dillard.

Well another turn of the wheel has brought another change of seasons to Rabun Gap. The mountains are draped with colorful quilts of reds, yellows, oranges and deep ever green. The nights are nippy and great for cuddling, the days are clear and warm. Harvest festivals abound throughout the area, pumpkin patches, maize mazes, bluegrass music and craft markets dot the road sides. Here at the mill we are turning our thoughts to the holidays. Family gatherings, friends sharing meals, renewed contact with those that get lost in the bustle of daily life. The birds have started making their annual pilgrimage to the warmer climes, the bears are busy eating everything they can reach before they take the long winter nap. Squirrels and chipmunks are busy collecting all the nuts that drop to the leaf carpeted ground. The local farmers are gathering the last of the crops before frost hits and they are busy planting the starts for next year's strawberries.

Meet the author for dinner at Sylvan Falls Mill B & B
Start the Father’s Day weekend off right at Sylvan Falls Mill Historical Bed & Breakfast with dinner and a book talk with local author Joseph Gatins, 7-10 p.m., Friday, June 18.
Gatins will discuss and read from an engaging, non-fiction family biography, We Were Dancing on a Volcano: Bloodlines and Fault Lines of a Star-Crossed Atlanta Family, 1849-1989, which recaptures the adventures and misadventures of a pioneer family that figured prominently Atlanta’s origins as a little railroad junction and, later, as the capital of the New South. Signed copies of the book, offering an often-fascinating glimpse into these worlds, will be available for sale this weekend.
The book also traces five generations of a family at war, from the Civil War to the Vietnam War.
